This was the first month of starting up Flotsam and Jetsam, meaning many of the departments were working on basic tasks like branding, inventory, budgets, employee onboarding, and market surveys. Everyone was also preparing for our first two tradeshows and competitions.

The employee of the month is Joshua Tsu!

This month our company went to our first tradeshow! 

Later in the month, we unfortunately had to do virtual learning because of poor air quality from the hangar fire near our school. We were online for a few weeks before going back to in-person learning at a different location called ESC near Tustin High School.

The employee of the month is Alex Nguyen!

While we were at ESC, our company adapted and continued to work on competitions, preparing for the Bakersfield Trade Show. We also participated in the San Diego Trade Show where we got 1st place in booth design along with bronze in radio ad and the sales catalog.

The employee of the month is Moa Svallfors!

The leadership team of Flotsam and Jetsam represented us at the Bakersfield trade show. There, we won #1 in Human Resources and #2 in Elevator pitch! We also got silver awards in branding, newsletter, and salesmanship along with bronze in marketing.

The employee of the month is Josiah Kim!

This month we had our first mid-year department meeting with all the staff within Flotsam and Jetsam. We prepared for the IECE tradeshow and submitted more things for the competition. Our sales team updated our catalog for the tradeshow and communications worked on updates to our social media. This month we would like to recognize Rhea as employee of the month!

This month, our company had participated the IECE San Bernardino Tradeshow!  At IECE, our company had placed silver in the Company Branding, Email Campaign, Marketing, and Elevator Pitch competitions! After IECE, our company started preparing for the New York Youth Business Summit Tradeshow. We had our first company staff meeting.  Our well-deserved Employee of the Month for this month is Brooklyn Good!!!

This Flotsam & Jetsam Human Resources Team represented us at the New York Youth Business Summit!  Thanks to the hard work of our devoted HR Department staff, our company placed #1 in the New York Youth Business Summit HR Competition!!! To celebrate the well-deserved victory of our HR Team in New York, our company's leadership team hosted a potluck!! We had our second company staff meeting.  Our amazing Employee of the Month for this month is Kaelyn Ting!!!
